Amazing Spider-Man #38 Value?

I recently found a new comic book store in my area and happened to notice that they had the amazing spiderman #38 for sale, they wanted R500 which is roughly 50 US dollars.

Unfortunately it is in a frame and i was unable to see the comic up close to look at the condition, from where i was the comic seemed to be roughly a 6.0 to 6.5 condtion and all pages are intact.

Could you please advise me about this comic and if it's worth it? I dont know much about the vintage Amazing Spider-Man comics.

Editor's reply: I would pass. It MIGHT be worth the money asked, but you cannot even check it for completeness.

Even if complete, it's not a sit-up-and-beg bargain. If in higher grade, it might be.

Unfortunately, as you can see from these prices, a fine copy is worth quite a bit less than $50 unless graded by CGC.
