2017 MARKET UPDATE: DROPPED OUT
While there is plenty of turnover in this book, it's all DOWN! Virtually every sale is taking profits on the runup caused by the fuss about the DD TV series on Netflix.
The good news is, if you were sitting on your hands waiting for a time to buy, that time might be now. The prices have softened around 10 to 30 percent since their highs.
As with many other comic books which are being driven up in price by speculators and investors, it's a TV show that is responsible for the sudden interest in Daredevil #4.
Other big gainers from the TV attention are Daredevil #1 (1st appearance) and Daredevil #168 (1st Elektra), both also on the Hot 100 list.
The Purple Man may sound like the lamest idea for a super-villain since, well, you can probably think of a bunch. Most of the Daredevil villains are like that (we're looking at you, Leap Frog).
Anyway, whatever you think of the Purple Man, his first appearance went from another DD also-ran back issue into a hot comics mainstay. It's been jumping in leap (frogs) and bounds, and we urge some caution as you may have already missed the best of the gains, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
