Value of Vault of Horror Comics by EC Comics
EC Comics is notorious for being the most edgy publisher of the 1950s.
Their gory artwork effectively led to the Comics Code Authority spoiling the party for decades, with words and imagery considered 'unsavory' for young people banned from comic books.
Vault of Horror is a classic EC series which has been much imitated over the years, not to mention reprinted multiple times.
Here are record sales and minimum values for the original 1950s series. All originals priced 10c on their covers. All reprints are either higher priced on the cover or black and white inside.
As usual for EC Comics, the numbering is a little weird. The series was formerly War Against Crime for 11 issues, so the effective first issue of Vault of Horror is #12.
